THE SLUDTERA LITERARY ARTS AWARDS

A Quest to Find the next St. Lucian Nobel Laureate in Literature

About image
The SLUDTERA Literary Arts Awards celebrates and recognizes the literary talents of young writers in St. Lucia. Formerly known as the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition National Awards, this prestigious event has been expanded to include multiple literary arts categories, providing young writers with diverse opportunities to showcase their creativity, critical thinking, and storytelling skills.

This initiative was created by SLUDTERA Founder & CEO, Michelle N. Samuel who is herself a published author of Poetry in the United States. She is also a Junior Judge of the Queen's Commonwealth Essay Competition and has been since 2018. In 2019 she received a royal invitation to Buckingham Palace by the late Queen Elizabeth, to attend the grand award ceremony of the highest achievers in the Commonwealth - the Junior gold and senior gold Commonwealth winners.
